Autumn creeping up

Since the weather is getting colder by the day I thought it would be good to show You what I made this spring. It was a project for a class I took in university. We had a assignment for a pair of socks. And I made knee-high socks. I used one of many Estonian waistband patterns on the upper edge and on lower one Estonian folk costumes striped skirt pattern. That striped part was quite challenging to knit because I used three yarns at the same time and therefore I needed to be extra careful with yarn crossings.( I like them neat.) But now I'm happy - they are really warm (3 layers of yarn!!). There is just one thing what I still have to do - add some elastic to upper edge. Soon...

Sügiseks soojad sokid. Kootud juba kevadel - kooli jaoks. Said ikka head soojad sokid. Eesti rahvusmustrid on üle kõige!! Hetkel käsil üks "vana" kudumine.
