Since it's 30 degrees Celcius here there is no way I'm knitting. It's just impossible for me this moment. So I took sewing machine out and started sewing. I haven't do that a lot. So I'm just a novice in that area. But after looking verypurpleperson blog I thought it wouldn't be bad to try. She makes sewing look so easy thing to do. (Those floral cotton pants are SO influenced by her latest floral fabrics projects). And I thought it's all about practice - just must practice and then comes the skills. Like with everything.
So I bought few nice cotton fabrics and also one smaller batch of some elastane containing fabric with pretty butterflies on it. And so I started sewing of course with that butterfly fabric 'cos it's so much more difficult (for me at least) to sew elastic than a cotton fabric. And they say what's difficult in training is easy in battle. And it was so. After sewing with cotton it was real easy. Actually even with butterfly fabric the most difficult thing was attaching the bindings. And I must admit that I had to do that by hand. 'Cos it was just impossible job for me. So if anyones has any great ideas how to attach elastic binding to an elastsic fabric then please do tell me Your tricks. I'd love to learn them.

For both pants I used same pattern. Ones are just shorter. For kneehight I added also side seam pockets and since it was my very first time to use pockets like that then I was happy to find out that they very easy to make. Sure will use them later on. As also the pattern. Real nice fit and easy to sew. It was from Burda 5/10.
Little something in ravelry also. (Even though I said I don't knit with this heat. And I don't any more. Just finished this one. )
